Great food, great prices
Best place for sushi my wife love it my kids love I love it.
My favorite sushi spot in nyc. Always quiet and I enjoy the all you can eat option
Good quality seafood, staff are quick to help with questions...in 2016.Recently (Nov. 2017), the service is terrible, they don't have some items on the menu, such as Shrimp Tempura (really); and Yellowtail Scallion rolls. So it was a 4/5, now a 2/5. And when I was last there, the hostess, waiter abs sushi chef had an ongoing raised discussion 3 times.
Good sushi for the price but nothing really stood out. Staff was small but also efficient during my experience. The restaurant is decorated well and the bathrooms are big and clean.
This place charges mandatory tips, specified in small writing. I waited one hour for food sold in tiny portions, with huge price tags. The "all you can eat" is 33 dollars not 25 dollars, and it isnt a grab and go, u have to wait like an hour before eating and an hour to receive more food. I hope the owners read this review.
If you want amazing fresh sushi and Japanese dishes with friendly staff, go to this restaurant. I plan on going back in 2016.
Went with a friend two weeks ago as part of my birthday present. Did the all-you-can-eat sushi. After eating, when we were clearly finished eating, the server informed us that there would be a charge per piece of sushi not eaten. My friend was sick and could not finish her food. There was no signage outside, by the hosts desk, or on the menu anywhere saying this ahead of time. After trying to force the rest of the nasty specialty roll down, we had to emergency empty our bowels in the bathroom. And there, tucked away behind a curtain by the restrooms, was a sign saying they'd charge for uneaten food. What kind of shady business practice is that? This is not how you run a business.
sushi are not pretty fresh and specially samon and tuna. one of my friend.who ate here gots stomachache
Great selection of all-you-can-eat sushi. Kitchen appetizers are larger than average, keep in mind when ordering teriyaki/katsu/tempura items. It's much more relaxed, quiet, and family-friendly than some NYC AYCE sushi places.
Great food! Cocktail way ok
Great food and service. Friendly and professional staff.
Place was conveniently located near Manhattan courts. The restaurant was ok the food was just ok.
Went once when in jury duty and didn't love it. Service was good, but the unadon (eel over rice) was served with the yellow pickles it sometimes comes with diced up and sprinkled heavily over top the eel. The pickles also had a somewhat bizarre flavor that didn't go particularly well with the eel.
Terrible staff. We called and made a reservation for the all you can eat sushi Groupon offer. The person on the phone said fine come in. We got there the gentleman turned us away because we were not written down for reservations. He even bought the reservation book to show us we not in the book. Clearly they need to train their staff.I had to storm out of there angry because he was not cooperative.
It's was so nice and the servers where awesome! No sashimi included with the all you can eat BUT 5 drinks per person is ridiculous!! So who cares about the sashimi.....Ps it's upstairs don't be afraid of the fast food place on the main level, this is a real sushi spot***** as of summer 2018 they have been CLOSED DOWN*******
I bought groupon... special rolls is good, but not for sushi roll
Reservations were made in advance for dinner and karaoke for 20 people. We opted for the AYCE sushi menu. AYCE, drink and karaoke for 3 hours.Food: Really low quality sushi. The rice had too much vinegar. The fish did not taste fresh. The rolls feel apart when you try to pick it up. Even the most basic miso soup was overly bland that soy sauce could not save it.Service: This is where it gets good. How does one restaurant survive with one sushi chef on a Friday night? You receive your order in pieces over 3 hours. So my side of the table would order 10 rolls and would receive them 2 at a time. They expected us to share the 2 rolls with all 20 guests. The good, at least they kept the alcohol rolling in to keep us somewhat content.Karaoke: Run if the mill Chinese karaoke set. Half the night there mics weren't working because they weren't charged. Bad planning on the restaurant.Cost: Came out to $34 per person. Was it worth the price? A big humungus NO!!
Please shut this place down. You cant make reservations because their phone line doesnt work. So you cant use your groupon. Whats the point then. Useless
Had the $12.95 All-You-Can-Eat Sushi Special. Absolutely delicious. Cannot beat it for the price. Could barely walk back to the subway after finishing because we could not let any of the delicious food go to waste.
Lunch was good, inexpensive and quick. Restaurant could be a little cleaner; tables were sticky.
Sushi is not fresh at all. They try to mask that by deep frying a lot of their foods. The staff isn't always the friendliest and the room is dimly lit. I'll never go back. Also, look out for roaches!! Never again...
NEVER EAT HERE! 😤😤😠😠SEE PICTURES 😲😲😠😠😳😳 Food was good....HOWEVER we were given glasses that weren't rinsed well so we ended up drinking dish detergent! Our server swore its was bubbles from the soda gun.....LIES!!!!! I spent the rest of the night and next day trying to flush my woozy stomach! NEVER EAT HERE!
Really misleading menu they had for lunch, forgot 2 of the items we ordered, but great value for the price. We paid around $13.50 a person for a sushi buffet. Not sure I'd come here again since Kikoo in eat village is better.
Food was decent. Place smelled a little mildewy. Would not go on a date here
Loved the sushi! Really fresh. We sat at the bar. I do agree there needs to be more staff and to be friendlier but what's important is the food and it was delicious. It just depends on what you are looking for in a restaurant. The bar seemed clean. Chicken teriyaki was good and having your sushi rolled in front of you was a great experience.
An all you can eat sushi restaurant on the second floor. It's relatively large and is a bit dark. The sushi rolls are of a good size and tasty. They are missing some of the ones I love like jalapeno and black pepper. They take their time getting the sushi to you and I suspect it's to limit how much you're willing to wait and eat, and to get your stomach to catch up. They do have an a la carte menu for those who don't want all you can eat. I found these guys on Groupon. Make sure you call for a reservation if you go on a Friday or Saturday with the Groupon.
I really want this place to close down. when with groupon, should be same with regular menu, but... no tempura stuff.. which is all the appetizers and also rolls that has anything fried in it. no uni, or good sushi. only the cheapest fish they have. service was horrible. and there were only 1 waiter on sunday.. and 1 person who cooks, so 2 people total lol.
Quiet Chinatown sushi, has great sushi and good prices.
If there were a zero star, I would give them a zero!!! Arrived on Sunday around 7:30pm. The whole place only had 3 tables of customers. I had a Groupon deal for all you can eat sushi with drinks. Their sake is diluted! Tastes like water mainly! Ordered some salad and rolls. With that few people eating, one should expect fast service. No, that's not the case! Waited 20min for salad and everything... Really?! I've been to many Japanese restaurants and this is definitely the worst! Not one of the worst! The worst!!!
AYCE and drink special. Good attentive staff. Food came quickly.
If I could give 0 star, I would. They don't like groupon (they called those "voucher people") when we called to make reservation for 8 people. I should have seen this as a red flag. No problem, we just do the walk in deal then. Eight of us came in at 1 pm and we all chose the walk in unlimited lunch option for $16 each. We ordered food at 1:10 pm, and at 1:40 pm, no food! We asked the waitress and she brought out 2 rolls of "oh, I don't know what is in it." At 2:10, no new food. We asked and someone who was more in charge came out and said they lost our ordering cards. All 8 of them! And they told us then they also had a 2 hour limit! We just paid and walked out at that point. The waitress cannot be more rude and careless. The 2 rolls were a joke! Full of rice! I hope you won't go there, but if you do, be prepared for super slow service (they may lose your cards too and you will have no food in the end), rude staff, and full of rice sushi.
he food was great. Quite large servings. Great sushi. Mostly local Japanese people were there which made me believe it is a great location to be.
The service was not great. Not to mention, the ordering system for sushi is very confusing, and my family and I ended up receiving about 17 rolls instead of the 3 we ordered.
Excellent kani salad.
Food is good. I had to ask for water. They didnt just give it
Food was good considering the all you can eat lunch menu option from 11am to 3pm. The traditional japenese design of the restaurant gave off a calm and relaxing vibe. Smaller portions than I expected but since it was all you can eat, you can always order more. Before I knew it, I already full within an hour or so being in the restaurant. Not as many staff as I saw but also not very crowded with customers as well. The staff were nice and friendly with helping us order.
Food is good. Service is good.. My regular place...
Very friendly atmosphere and terrific sushi place.
The place is closed!! Not exist anymore!
First and last time here. Pricing is great, service is the worst. For $12.95 its all you can get if you they remember to place your order or remember who order what. There is no organization at this restaurant. We sat there waiting for 10 before anyone brought us a menu. After they brought us out our food we had to ask for water. Which she brought one glass at a time for a table of 4 and only brought 3.After sitting there for 1 1/2 hours we left when they forgot to place our second order. This place gave the worst service i've ever had. From the time we entered the restaurant and was ignored to leaving and had to ask for our check before getting up as to just walk out. We should have taken notes as to how everyone else was upset there and just left to eat somewhere else.
Unfortunately the sushi here has too much rice on each piece and the quality of the fish is only subpar. The waitstaff seemed unenthusiastic and the food took a long time to come around. However, the owners seem to be very friendly and outgoing
Great for the buck. Simple but good. Great staff
Don't bother, mandatory 15% tips on ridiculous bills from menu with no prices makes the groupon useless
decent all you can for the price
Great price, quick, simple and tasty
The menu isn't anything special. Both the sushi and service are average; the fish wasn't super fresh. There's nothing especially terrible about this place, but that being said there's nothing to really draw you in either.
Great special for lunch, all you can eat is $11.95. Also includes appetizers, katsu, etc. the fish was fresh and the service is nice. We often go there with coworkers.
